About this policy

NameFold is an iOS business-card and contact app being developed by ACAPRO. This policy describes its current development build and clearly identifies planned features. The app is not yet publicly released.

No NameFold account is required. The current app has no developer-operated service for uploading or synchronizing your contact library.

Cards and contacts

The app stores contact information you enter or import, such as names, company, job title, phone numbers, email addresses, website, address, and notes. It also stores local preferences and records needed to manage edits, drafts, transfers, and purchase status.

Camera capture and text recognition are planned and are not yet connected in the production app. The approved design processes card images and recognizes text on the iPhone, without sending card images or recognized text to a recognition server. You review the results before saving a contact.

When scanning becomes available, saving a scanned contact is intended to retain an optimized card image alongside it. Image storage and removal are implemented, but this does not mean scanning is currently available.

Storage, backups, and deletion

Contacts and retained card images are stored in the app’s local storage using iOS data-protection facilities. The contact database and retained images may be included in normal operating-system device backups, depending on your backup settings. NameFold does not provide its own cloud synchronization or full-library backup service.

You can delete a saved contact or remove its retained card image separately. Temporary transfer files and retired images are scheduled for cleanup; interrupted or unsuccessful cleanup is retried. Unsaved work may be retained so you can resume it.

Deleting the app removes its local app data; offloading an app is different and may preserve its data. Deletion in NameFold does not delete earlier device backups or copies already exported, saved to another contacts account, or received by another person. Manage those copies through their respective apps or services.

Sharing and permissions

Sharing starts with your action. Different actions include different information:

  • CSV export: includes contact fields, including notes and creation/update timestamps. It does not include scanned-card images. CSV import reads a file you select and requires an empty library; your file provider may use the network.
  • vCard and contact QR: include all populated supported contact fields by default, such as names, company, role, phone numbers, email addresses, website, and address. They exclude notes, scanned-card images, raw recognition text, review/provenance records, app identifiers, and app timestamps. The QR contains the contact information directly, not a hosted link. Anyone who scans it can read that information.
  • Add to phone contacts: opens the iOS contact editor for you to review and save. iOS handles any permission or account requirements for saving the copy. NameFold does not read or synchronize your address book. The destination contacts account may synchronize using its own settings. NameFold does not automatically synchronize later edits or deletions.
  • External actions: calling a number, opening WhatsApp, or selecting a destination in the system share sheet passes the relevant information to the service you choose. Its privacy practices then apply.

Planned scanning will require camera access; manual entry remains an alternative. You can manage app permissions in iOS Settings. NameFold does not need access to your entire photo library to scan a card.

Purchases

A one-time Remove Ads purchase is planned for release. Purchase and restore controls are implemented using Apple’s StoreKit, but physical-device and release verification are still pending. Apple handles payment and purchase processing. The app uses verified entitlement information to decide whether ads may be shown and stores an informational purchase-status cache locally. NameFold does not receive your payment-card details.

Purchases and restoring purchases may use the network. See Apple’s App Store privacy information.

Planned advertising

Google AdMob and its consent tools are not integrated in the current development build. The release plan is a non-personalized banner in the Library only, with required consent controls and a Privacy Choices entry when applicable. The app is designed not to send card or contact content as advertising keywords or identifiers.

The planned integration excludes ad mediation, Firebase Analytics, requesting tracking permission, and access to the advertising identifier. It must disable the ad SDK’s built-in crash reporting and prevent ad initialization and requests when a verified Remove Ads entitlement applies. These are implementation requirements, not claims of completed verification.

Non-personalized advertising can still process data. Google describes possible Mobile Ads SDK processing of IP addresses (including approximate location), app/device identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostics or performance information. Which practices apply to NameFold must be checked against the actual SDK version and configuration before ads are enabled. Consent may still be required for non-personalized ads.

Read Google’s iOS SDK data disclosure, its explanation of non-personalized ads, and Google’s privacy policy. This policy will be updated for the integrated release before advertising begins.

Diagnostics

The current app does not include analytics, Firebase, or a third-party crash-reporting service. It has no in-app diagnostics-upload feature. Apple may provide crash reports or TestFlight feedback according to your Apple settings and choices. App logging is designed to exclude private contact, card, search, and transfer content.

This website and support

This website does not add analytics scripts, advertising, tracking cookies, or a contact-upload form. Page content and styling are served directly; fonts are supplied by your device.

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you visit, Cloudflare processes information such as your IP address, traffic routing data, system configuration information, and other request information to deliver and protect the website. This hosting traffic is separate from the contact library stored in the NameFold app. Hosting provider privacy information

If you email support, the address, message, and attachments you send are processed to answer your request. Email is handled through email providers. Please avoid sending actual business cards, contact lists, payment details, or other people’s personal information unless needed and appropriate. Contact us to ask about deletion of support correspondence; information needed for an unresolved request or applicable obligations may need to be retained.

Your choices

You can view, edit, export, and delete contacts in the app; remove retained card images; manage iOS permissions and backups; and choose whether to make a purchase or share information. Exported CSV files contain personal information, so store and send them carefully.

Because the developer does not hold a server copy of your library, requests to access or delete that library are carried out on your device. For questions about information you send to support, including access, correction, or deletion requests, use the contact below.
